Abstract Art Paintings – Latest Details On This Issue..

What Picasso says about understanding art is very relevant to the way we approach abstract paintings. Lots of people believe that abstract paintings must have a particular meaning of some kind, which could be clearly understood and articulated if only they knew how. This misconception is not helped by the endless supply of people prepared to spout nonsense about what believe that the artist was attempting to say. The almost inevitable consequence of this case is that people can either feel as though they are being excluded from sharing in some secret knowledge, or alternatively conclude that Minimalist Art Painting is actually all a sham. In any event, the result is that many people tend not to feel well-disposed towards modern art or abstract paintings.

I certainly identify with Picasso’s remark as far as my own, personal paintings are involved. Basically If I experienced a specific message or even a which means that I could articulate in words, i then would articulate it in words – the painting could have no purpose. The whole reason for creating an abstract painting is that it embodies something that only it could, in a way that should not be placed into words. It is not an essay it is a painting – it encompasses and expresses things in a language which is unique to the medium of paint. For this reason we must not make an effort to ‘understand’ abstract paintings in how people sometimes feel they ought to be able to.

The viewer must not choose a clear narrative within an abstract painting – it is really not planning to tell a story, or make reference to another ‘subject’ in a similar manner that a figurative painting will. But that does not mean there is not any meaning or no subject, or that abstract paintings cannot get in touch with and move people. When asked about subject matter, the Abstract Expressionist artist Jackson Pollock said, “I am just the subject”. Pollock’s statement is not just true, it is inevitable.

The experiences, personality, memories and mood in the abstract artist cannot help but be fed in to the painting when the artist approaches the job inside an open and honest way. I do not require an outside subject or idea before I will create Large Abstract Wall Art – I simply begin. The fact that I am just me without any-one else is what makes my work different to anyone else’s, and the same holds true of all artists. The colours I select, the marks a make, the accidents I choose to go out of, or to obliterate, these are generally things i choose due to who I am just.

If you were to present many different artists with similar basic design on a canvas and ask them to get a brush and develop the painting, the variations in the things they would decide to do could be enormous. I have watched other abstract artists at the job on paintings and thought “I might never in a million years have selected that colour and set it there.” Not because I believe it is wrong or bad, but since they are who they really are and (to quote that other leading artist, Morrisey!) “only I am I”.

Abstract paintings – There are numerous great types of painting available, arising from a wealthy art history which has seen movement after movement. The phrase abstract art is frequently used a blanket term to describe non-representational art – which is the absence of recognisable subjects. Abstract art was linked to the rise of modernism over the past century, getting into the mainstream with abstract expressionism in post-war art yet still continuing to influence artists today.

What brought regarding the qualities we see in abstract art? The flattening of the artist’s canvas surface is certainly one major quality, as artists moved far from a convincing illusionism towards broader-minded thinking. Using the invention of photography releasing the artist from painting as a means of recording reality, they began seeing the canvas surface being an object in the own right, with the canvas being a single, flat expansive surface. Paint ‘acted’ and affected the flat surface and began to form its kfkymg qualities in accordance with the actual way it was handled. The paint could exhibit ‘personality’, it had their own dimensions and opened up a multitude of different techniques we percieve in artwork from the last century. One of the main reasons artists began Hand Painted Oil Paintings within an abstract way was the opportunities for greater creativity. It allowed to get a greater variety of expression and the development of ideas that had been not reliant on representing reality anymore.
